NJ Devils for life!

I’m sure this has been a very difficult decision for Zach.  The Devils were in the red and not generating any revenue for a while.  And then they sign Kovy to a 15 year contract without considering where that might leave them with Zach.  I love Kovy, but he was useless to us in the playoffs.  He played with a herniated disc, they said he probably needs surgery and even if he gets that surgery, he can be re-injured with one hit into the boards. 

The positive thing that came out of us making it to the Stanley Cup finals, I heard we got around 6500 new season ticket holders which will definitely help get the team out of the red.  But will it be enough to pay Zach over the next ten years?  It must be a lot of pressure on his shoulders knowing that if he leaves he could be helping the Devils lose a huge part of their fan base.  I know he’s taken all of that into consideration and I’m sure Lou Lamoriello is trying his best to see where they can come up with the money to keep him.  To me he is the NJ Devils and honestly the team won’t be the same without him.

There is no question in my mind Adam Henrique should have won the Calder.  The NHL should be ashamed…the other two didn’t make it to the Stanley’s and Adam kept us in the game.  I mean really…who the f&$k votes on this shit?

This is the first time going to the cup for some of these guys…maybe they were just psyched out a little…I think what upset me the most was all the opportunities they had to score…The score should have been like 15-2…just sayin…But if I know my Devils, Kings are going down Saturday!  We were in this same position with the Flyers and the Rangers…and we all know what happened there!

Congratulations to the New Jersey Devils…you guys stole my heart four years ago when I went to my first hockey game at the Prudential Center…March 23, against the Columbus Blue Jackets.  I’ve never felt this way about a team in my life…you’re in my blood now!  This series was all about heart and determination and you all deserve it!  LOVE YA!
